<Our Story />
There once was a young man named, Matthew, and a young lady named, Kate. They both grew up in the midwest. Matthew was from the Twin Cities, and Kate was from Milwaukee. How these two met is interesting. After completing high school they both decided to further their education at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.
Understanding that having a good resume will help you get a better job led them both to join Beta Upsilon Sigma (BUS), a business fraternity. Kate being a little more outgoing than Matthew decided to run for a pledge class director position. In order to run for a position you were required to give a brief speech about why you felt you deserved the position, and then the group voted for the candidate they felt was best suited for the job.
Just as Kate was about to begin her speech, Matthew noticed his shoes were untied. So he bent over to tie his shoes. While bent over he began to hear this voice. A very beautiful voice. A voice that struck him and caught him off guard. There was something very special about this voice. The voice belonged to Kate.
Somehow Matthew courageously walked up to Kate after the meeting was over and introduced himself. Matthew being an introvert was very nervous to speak to her. Kate was a very pleasant and friendly person and the introduction went very smoothly. From that moment on, Kate was known as "Kate from BUS". For weeks it was all that Matthew could talk about. "Do you think she likes this?" "Do you think she'll ever talk to me again?"
Slowly but surely their relationship began to deepen as time went on. After being friends for a few months, they became a couple shortly after and have been together ever since. Matthew proposed to Kate on May 23, 2003 while singing "Your Body is a Wonderland" by John Mayer in a Karaoke bar.
On Saturday, October 2, 2004 Matthew and Kate were married and have lived happiliy ever after since.
