<Music />
Music is a big part of my life. I love singing and listening to music. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. In grade, middle, and high school, I was always in choir. High school is where my real passion for music blossomed. I took voice lessons, competed, and participated in small ensembles. In college, my appetite for music grew and I joined The Singing Statesmen (Male Chorus) and helped form Fifth Element (A Cappella Group).

Over the past few years I have recorded some tracks. I'm hoping to take my best work and release a solo album one day.

iPod
Getting an iPod has been one of the greatest things to ever happen to me. I now have my entire media library in one device that I can take with me everywhere. I listen to it in the car, at work, and at home. I basically use it all day every day. If you do not have an iPod, I would highly recommend getting one.
Piano Rock
My favorite kind of music is what I call "Piano Rock". Some examples include: Ben Folds, Billy Joel, Gabriel Mann, Gavin DeGraw, John Mayer, and Seal. These artists all use piano and guitar in some fashion and sing about anything from life to love. Usually they are songs that I can sing to.
Contemporary A Cappella
I also really enjoy contemporary a cappella. I am not talking about barbershop quartets or doo-woop groups. I mean groups that take songs you would hear on the radio and perform them using only the human voice. In the last decade I have been exposed to a whole array of groups and I have become pretty picky with which groups I like. After awhile they can all start to sound the same because they imitate each other a lot. My favorite a cappella groups include: Ball In The House, Blenders, Blind Man's Bluff, Blue Jupiter, Five O'Clock Shadow, Four Shadow, House Jacks, Kickshaw, M-Pact, Nylons, Rockapella, Spiralmouth, Take 6, Tonic Sol Fa
Movie Scores
Lastly, I really enjoy movie scores. I am not talking about a movie soundtrack, but the background music that usually sounds like classical music. They are very similiar to classical music, but they usually have a more modern sound to them and can remind you about great scenes in a movie. Have you ever hated a movie, loved the music, and then ended up liking the movie because of the music? Movie scores have done that for me and can be an inspiration. Believe it or not, but I have been known to be able to pick out who the composer is while watching a movie. Some of my favorite composers include: Danny Elfman, James Horner, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman, Alan Silvestri, John Williams, Hans Zimmer.
